Mar 3, 2017 to Mar 3, 2017
What a great day! On March 3, SCC students, staff and faculty will choose from eight different community partners and volunteer their time to give back. These community partners were intentionally chosen so that, if able, faculty can bring the student experience back into the classroom. In doing so, two of the four requirements for service-learning will already be met. From there, all you need is to reflect on the experience, whether written or verbal, and celebrate! Even if just for a day, what Artichokes will do will be amazing.
All participants will receive an event T-shirt, continental breakfast, lunch and transportation between SCC and the service site. You are asked to wear close-toed shoes and comfortable pants/shorts; you will also be asked to wear the event T-shirt you receive at check-in. Please note that the clothing you wear should be something that you do not mind getting dirty. You may want to bring sunscreen and/or a hat, if your work will have you outdoors. Keep all jewelry and personal items to a minimum. Cell phones are permitted.
Please come to the Cafeteria on Friday, March 3 at 8:00AM.
For questions regarding this event, contact the Office of Service-learning and Leadership or your faculty member.
DO NOT contact the community partner.
